Wiser Technology's goal has always been to make the planet safe and healthy. We entered into the electronic cigarette market not as a way to make money; we saw it as a healthy alternative to traditional cigarette smoking. We also felt it would be unique if we could permanently eliminate the use of tobacco products.
When we entered into the e-cig market, we made it a point to begin exploring the technology and evaluating the manufacturers that mostly reside in China. We then tested the products among various users and obtained their feedback in terms of taste, durability, maintenance, and ease of use. Based on the feedback received, we looked for ways to improve the product and sought manufacturers that were willing to work with us and incorporate our ideas and recommendations.
During our initial evaluation, we learned that there were government concerns over metal particles that the e-cig might produce. To combat the problem, Wiser Technology designed a magnetic filter to catch all of the metals that might be introduced into the device. We designed a funnel area that is shaped in the way of gold panning so that if any metal particles exist, they are trapped in the filter. We have also developed technology that will drastically increase the life of the battery without adding to the size or weight of the product. These improvements will be introduced to the public in future releases that are just around the corner.
Earlier we mentioned that our objective for getting into the e-cig market was to deter nicotine consumers from smoking. We have introduced a website called www.smokewiserlivelonger.com. The mission of the website is to motivate cigarette users to smoke wiser and to pledge to Commit to Quit and thereby living longer. In conjunction with the website, we are introducing our Bluetooth application that is cell phone based. When a user signs up to the website, it begins calculating the user's smoking functions. It also provides feedback when the user quits smoking such as how well the user did for the week. This information is then reported to the user's portal; for example, Myspace and Facebook. Below is a brief description of how the Bluetooth application works.
The Wiser E-cig phone will ask the user a few questions such as how many cigarettes the user smoke, how much user currently pay for cigarettes, and a Commit to Quit date. The user can actually program the Wiser E-cig to reduce the daily nicotine intake. The device will automatically adjust itself to comply with the amount of nicotine the user committed to inhaling without the user realizing any change in intake. For example, the device will detect when the user is exceeding their limit and switch over to vapor that is free of nicotine. The application also asks for support telephone numbers of persons to call for support if the user exceeds the nicotine limit.
